Installer scoring a luxury vinyl plank with a utility knife and straightedge

Waterproof

Rigid core plank and tile. The one that survives a spill, a mop, and a slab that reads damp. Tri-West groups these under Waterproof, and that’s the honest description: a rigid core that doesn’t swell, over a slab we’ve already tested.

Where it fits

The default answer for a whole house, and it earns it.

Luxury vinyl plank. Wood visuals in a waterproof rigid core, usually floating. The most requested floor we lay, in houses and in light commercial.

01

Whole-home installs

One material and one plank direction through kitchen, hall, and living space. Transitions get planned before we cut anything.

02

Wet areas

Kitchens, baths, laundry. Waterproof core, sealed perimeter, no swelling at the edges.

03

Rentals and turnovers

Fast to install, cheap to spot-repair, and it photographs well for a listing.

How we lay it

01

Test and prep

Moisture readings, then grind, patch, and level. This is where a cheap install goes wrong.

02

Set the direction

We run plank off the longest sight line and dry-lay the first rows so the cuts land out of view.

03

Install

Staggered joints, tight seams, expansion gap where the material needs it, thresholds fitted last.

04

Walk it

We get down on the floor with you and check every seam before we invoice.
